Each year we have a number of club fly-outs to UK and Overseas destinations
This is a brief overview of some our trips to date.
Isle of Wight
Another really popular destination for the day or even a weekend, it takes just 40 minutes to cross to Bembridge or Sandown both airfields are close to the sea as well as each other. Some great eating places and good walks.
When there is time a flight around the island over the Needles and along the Solent is fantastic and the views of Portsmouth are superb.

Always a popular destination it take just an hour and a half to fly there, our route takes around London to the north and then down over the Thames and the Medway to Folkstone coasting out for the 20mile crossing to Cap Griz Nes then down the French coast line passing over Bologne and into Le Touquet.
We hire bikes and cycle into town for lunch (no wine!) then a stroll to sea front
for ice cream back to the airfield via the superstore and do flight plans for the
return trip home back at Wycombe for a pint...A great day out.
Duxford
We flew all of the club aircraft to Duxford in April 2008 a day set for thunder storms but that was not going to stop us a nice trip there all be it a bit hazy followed by a nice lunch and a lot of walking around the extensive displays.
The trip home was a little more interesting having to fly north to miss big storms around Milton Keynes and home.
